In Brief
Having spent most of my life living overseas, both whilst growing up and then with my husband, I have a limited paid-working background and history. This limited paid-work experiences can be found under Past Employment.
Educated and trained in the UK (with a year at the Alliance Francaise in Paris), I would holiday overseas with my family (Nigeria, Brasil and Pakistan) and latterly I became an overseas resident with my husband, (Italy, Dubai and Kenya).

Volunteering
As an adult expatriate, living in Italy, Dubai and Kenya, I was able to enjoy the availability of volunteering. This granted me invaluable knowledge of the country I was living in, with the ability to offer help to people; organisations and animals in need; worthwhile causes and the community. Whilst in Italy, I took to teaching young children English. Thereby, I managed to learn some Italian! I also taught English in Dubai, but did not learn Arabic, unfortunately!
Volunteering helped me to make new friends, and give me a sense of purpose, meaning, direction and fulfilment.

Websites
I have maintained a fascination with websites being used as an alternative to publications. As I gathered information whilst living abroad, I decided to build some websites of my own. This I have now achieved.
In the meantime, some small organisations and charities commissioned me to build free and simple websites for them.

Presentations / Publications
I have always enjoyed writing, especially compiling Newsletters and other publications. I seemed to be a hoarder of facts, especially if I found no other written material on the subject at issue. This was how I ended up compiling a website on all things animal - collective nouns, similes, metaphors, an idioms.
Back at the UK, I had my own quality magazine - The Smooth Guide - covering events and facilities for parents, carers children and teachers living in West Surrey. It had a circulation of over 18,000 and a delivery programme to 48 schools.
